Beach Bucks

It's beach bucks time again. We got this great idea from our friends a few years ago, and love it. About a month before we go to the beach, we give the kids beach bucks. Then the night before we go to the beach, the kids can turn in their beach bucks for real money. That way they have some of their own spending money. We decide on an amount, and then slowly take away money as needs be. We try to give them quite a bit to start with, because they lose it ALOT. The kids love it and it's another great incentive to try to get our kids to behave and not fight. I try to post a list of ways that they will automatically lose them on the fridge, so there's no "but I didn't know".

This year we decided that we would start with a little bit of a lower amount, but give them the opportunity to earn them back. We'll see how it goes. They are each starting with $30 beach bucks. 3 weeks and counting 'til we go to Seaside.
