Soccer Party

We wrapped up Kennedy's spring soccer season with a pizza/trophy party at Barros. She had so much fun with this team. Coach Lisa was great.

Coach Lisa had made this team flag that they had attached to PVC pipe and a stake at the bottom. She brought it to every game and stuck it behind the bench. The girls liked it, but Kennedy loved it! They had a little wrap up after every game, and Kennedy would grab the flag and hold it through every meeting. At the end of the party, coach Lisa gave Kennedy the flag.

Rawhide Fieldtrip

Kennedy's class went on a fieldtrip to Rawhide this afternoon. As luck would have it, Landon was in town, and we both got to go! They took us on a tour of the old city, we saw a gunfight, had some lunch, panned for gold, and rode horses. The kids loved it.

Scout Jamborama

Colton went with his scout troop to the Jamborama this morning. They were able to meet and get their picture with President Beck, from the General Young Mens Presidency. They also had a great time launching balloons, and of course eating! They have awesome leaders, who really do love these boys. We are so lucky to be in this ward.

Easter/Conference Sunday

This year Easter fell on Conference Sunday, or did Conference fall on Easter Sunday?? Either way, it made for a very enjoyable day.
Last night we died Easter eggs. My kids love this. It seems like every year I boil more eggs, and every year we don't have enough!

He is pulling this face in almost every picture we took this weekend. Not sure what that's about?

After breakfast, the kids made a huge sniggle bed on the floor and got ready for conference. Notice their baskets of candy are all right next to them. My parents took one look at this, and headed straight for their bedroom where they could watch conference in peace and quiet!

I loved conference this time. I always come away feeling renewed and recharged. I'm so grateful for a living prophet, who leads and guides this church. How lucky we are to be able to hear his words from the comfort of our living rooms.

Easter Sugar Cookies

I am trying to keep things as "normal" as possible this year for my kids. I don't want them to look back on this year and remember how jacked up things really are! I want there to be some sense of the ways thing were, and the way they will be again. It's getting really hard, on all of us. Anyway, every year before Easter we make sugar cookies. The girls love to help me bake the cookies. Colton is always around when it's time to frost and eat the cookies! I decided that this year should be no different. This is the best sugar cookie recipe. I got it from my mother-in-law. It was her mother's! YUM.
