Why is it that I can't find the time, or motivation to post this time of year! Here's a quick recap of the last week at our house.
Wednesday December 17-School got cancelled because it might snow. It didn't! It was bone dry all day long!
Thursday December 18-It snowed! It freakin' snowed all day long. School was cancelled again, work was cancelled, McDonalds was closed, the whole city pretty much shut down. We spent the day hookie-bobbin' with some ward friends. I think we ended up with about 8" of snow.

Friday December 19- School cancelled again because of the snow. Redmond never gets this kind of snow and is not equipped to handle it! Ran a few last minute errands, and got things ready for Landon's dad to come for Christmas.

Sunday December 21-Not going to church. Pretty much just hunkered down, played cards, visited with Bumpa, and watched it snow!
Monday December 22- We decided to venture out today. Once we got out of our neighborhood, the roads weren't too bad. The kids played outside for hours, having snowball fights, etc with all their friends. The kids have been "saving" the snow is our backyard for a snowman. No one has stepped foot out there since it started snowing. There is at least 18" back there! Also, Bumpa has been teaching me how to sprout my wheat! We also cooked it in the crock pot and made wheat berries. Can't wait to taste it tomorrow.

Tuesday December 23-We ate the wheat berries for breakfast this morning. We put honey on them, and they weren't that bad. If it comes down to it, we could survive on that stuff. Still working on the sprouts. There is snow and rain in the forecast for the next few days. With the temps in the 20's everything is frozen! The roads are like an ice skating rink. We're headed out this morning to make that snowman in the back yard!

WOW!
We keep hearing on the news about you guys & your nasty weather, the airport mess, etc.! Yuck! I am sure your kids LOVE all the snow, lucky kids to have all those snow days! We got dumped on yesterday. The kids love it! Have a wonderful Christmas!! Love Lisa
It looks like you're experiencing what we are here except we did get snow on the 17th. People in Vancouver say this hasn't happened here for like 40 years. We are breaking all kinds of records. It is just crazy and is starting to effect our trip to AZ. I hope we can fly out of here Christmas day! We are praying to be above freezing. Which is pretty strange seeing as we hit the freezing mark maybe twice last year.
Ahhhhh...welcome to my world! Welcome back my friend!
That looks horrible!!! The only time I miss the snow is Christmas morning!!! How did the snow man turn out?
All that white stuff makes me freezing just looking at it! Can you email me instructions of how to sprout wheat? That sounds yummy. Merry Christmas.
Fun, fun, fun! I think it's great you had all that snow for Christmas. It makes it so you don't miss Utah as much! ha ha ha...we've been right there with ya! We had to go sledding at least 4 times last week. It's a blast! Hope your Christmas was great! Glad that Landon's dad was able to come spend it with you guys.
crazy...all that snow does look so beautiful...then again i am in 60 degree weather and needing a winter coat to keep warm....i don't know if i could survive there...glad your kids are loving it though!
