Easter 09

Easter was a whirlwind at our house this year. Being out of town the week before completely threw me off! So we had some last minute things we had to get to make everything "even" for Sunday. We didn't end up dying our eggs until 9:30pm Saturday night. But hey, we got them done!
Our church starts at 9am and Colton has to be there at 8:30 to set up chairs and whatever else he does, so we have to go pretty early. Luckily the Easter Bunny comes while we're at church when we have early church.
Kennedy's Easter do Here are some shots of the kids opening their Easter baskets. You would think it was Christmas by Kennedy's reaction.
After they opened up their baskets and found the eggs that the Easter bunny hid, we headed over to some friends house for Easter lunch. Thankfully we were smart and had it catered by Honey Baked Ham. Everything was delicious, and I just got to enjoy it instead of make it.
Then it was off to another friends' house for an Easter egg hunt, and some "feats of strength" games. We love getting together with this group of friends, and had a blast searching for eggs in the rain. It was definitely different not having family around on Easter, but we have the best group of friends that don't have family around either. These guys welcomed us with open arms 7 months ago, and made us feel so welcome. It feels like we've known them forever! Thanks for making this an Easter we'll never forget.

This is such a great Easter post. Your kids look so cute. I can't believe Kennedy's hair--you have some mad skills.

I'm so glad you have such cool friends--The feats of strength look hilarious.

What a relief that everything is still good with Kennedy. She is such a darling little girl--I'm so happy for all of you!

Brooke said everything I was going to say. I love that you posted a pic of you and Lanny as well as the kids. You guys look great and I think we'll all regret not having more pictuers of ourselves and esp. of ourselves with our husbands.

You guys looked cute for Easter. I wish you lived here so you could do my hair...I have serious hair trouble right now! :)
