My calling in my ward is Scout Committee Advancement Chair. Which means that I'm in charge of keeping track of all of the scouts in my ward, and how they are advancing! Oh yeah, I know you're jealous! Anyway, I was pretty much solely in charge of putting on the court of honor, and I'm so glad it's over. There were 93 awards earned! I'm proud to say that Colton earned 5 merit badges, his 2nd class, 1st class, and star scout all tonight. He is a life scout now, which is only 1 level below eagle. After living in Washington, he was behind where he should've been, and has had to work really hard to play catch up. There's still work to be done, but I'm really proud of him. I am ready for this whole scout thing to be over!

Give a Day Get a Day
At the beginning of January, we decided as a family to get involved with Disney's Give a Day Get a Day. We signed up to make blankets for Project Linus. This is a charity that gives new blankets to sick or traumatized children ages 0-18. We picked this charity for 2 reasons. 1 we could do the blankets at home, which was great since we had to work aroud Landon being in town. Second I let each of the kids pick their own material to make their blanket out of, and it was way more personal that way. They were all so picky about what they like and what they wanted. I sent the blankets off about a week ago, and today our tickets came! Disneyland here we come!!

On the Lord's Errand
Tonight for FHE I took the kids to the Mesa Temple Visitors' Center to see the new movie "On the Lord's Errand: The Life of President Thomas S. Monson. It was excellent. I learned so many interesting things about our Prophet that I didn't know. What an amazing man!
